Obituary: CLOYD CURTIS BURIED FRIDAY AT NORTH ELM AFTER SERVICES HERE
Funeral services were held last Thursday at the Marek-Burns Funeral Home for Cloyd Curtis, 39. Mr. Curtis died March 24 at the VA center in Temple.
Officiating at the services were Sam Fritz of the Assembly of God Church. Burial was in North Elm Cemetery.
Mr. Curtis, a veteran of World War II, was born October 19, 1919 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He had been employed in the potash mines in Carlsbad, New Mexico before entering the Temple VA hospital 3 years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eula L. Curtis of Cameron; 1 son, Gary Wayne Curtis, Cameron; his father, Pink Curtis of Carlsbad, New Mexico; 4 brothers, Aaron of White Water, Kansas, Paul and Virgil of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Mrs. Albert Rushing, Rio Vista, California and Mrs. Steve Stevenson, Arvada, Colorado.
Pallbearers were: Lynn Harper, Ottis Harper, Charles McCall, Billy McCall, Warren McCall and Williams Gibbs.

Obituary: Mrs. M. A. Dicus
Mrs. M. A. Dicus, aged 87, died at Port Arthur and was brought here for internment at North Elm Cemetery Monday morning. Green's Undertaking Establishment had charge of the obsequies. Rev. E. S. Hutcherson, pastor of the Cameron baptist church, conducted the funeral service. Her son, Arthur T. Dicus, accompanied her remains from Port Arthur to Cameron.
