- Obituary: RAYMOND FIKES DIES IN HOUSTON HOSPITAL SERVICES HELD HERE Raymond Fikes, 61, native of Milam County, died in a Houston Hospital Wednesday following an illness of a few weeks. He had made his home in Houston for several years. Funeral services were conducted 2 p. m. Friday from the Chapel of Greens Funeral Home. Rev. A. F. Russell officiated with interment with Masonic Graveside rites in North Elm Cemetery. Survivors are his wife; three sons, Stanley of Cameron, Robert of Richardson, Elbie of Houston; one daughter, Mrs. Doris Friemel of Alice; six brothers, Walter and Hubert of Long Beach, Calif., Joe Bailey of Cameron, Chester of Corpus Christi, M. F. and Ralph of Houston; three sisters, Mrs. Major Young and Mrs. Marshall Weems of Houston, Mrs. Dutch Locklin of Cameron; one half brother, Onie Fikes of Rosebud; two half sisters, Mrs. Nan Wallace of Cameron and Mrs. Molly Lemly of Three Rivers. - Obituary: DURENE FIKES Durene Fikes 51, of Greenville, died Saturday in a Dallas hospital following a brief illness. Graveside services were held at 4 p. m. Wednesday in the North Elm Cemetery near Yarrellton, with Rev. David Starkey officiating. Surviving are her husband Grady Fikes Jr. of Greenville; one son, Terry Fikes of Arlington; one daughter, Gail Dehnel of Lewisville; one brother, Gerald Andres of Conroe; two sisters, Norma Hale of Grand Prairie and Linda Vaughn of Cedar Hill; and one granddaughter.
