- Obituary: FRANCES HENSLEY Services for Frances Hensley, 76, of Route 1 near Cameron were at 2 p. m. Friday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron, with the Reverends J. E. Lafferty and John Henry Glass officiating. Burial was in North Elm Cemetery. Mrs. Hensley died Monday in a Temple hospital. She was born in Alabama. She was a retired school teacher, a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 553, the History Club, The Porcelain Art Club, the Pleasure and Profit Club and Delta Kappa Gamma. Survivors are her husband, Roy C. Hensley of Cameron; one son, Charles W. “BillÃ¢â‚¬ï† Hensley of Waco; one daughter, Mary Frances Robinson of Dover, Del.; two brothers, John Mitchell and Jack Mitchell, both of La Feria; and three grandchildren. - Obituary: ANSON C. HOPPER Anson C. Hopper, age 39 years, died at his home in Cameron Monday, April 7, at three oclock in the afternoon. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at two oclock at the North Elm church with Rev. Bean of Rosebud reading the rites. He was assisted by Rev. Joel Hardigree of Cameron. At the grave, services were in charge of the American Legion and were conducted under the direction of Post Commander James Baskin of the Edwin Hardy Post. Interment was in the North Elm Cemetery, Coleman and Eplen directing. Pall bearers were members of the American Legion. - Obituary: ELMER HOUSTON On Friday, November 15th, Elmer Houston, the little eight year old son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Houston was called to his reward. He had been ill for several days with influenza and pneumonia. He was a loving child, brother and pupil, and will be greatly missed by his school mates and teacher, as well as by the family.
