- Obituary: LAST RITES HELD FOR MRS. A. J. JOHNSON Funeral services for Mrs. A. J. (Jack) Johnson were conducted Tuesday, January 24, from the Cameron Gospel Tabernacle, with Rev. H. M. Bowley, pastor officiating, assisted by Rev. A. J. Frisby and Rev. P. L. Caperton. Burial was made in North Elm cemetery with Greens Funeral Home making the arrangements. Mrs. Johnson died at her home at East 15th Street, Monday, January 23, 1950, after a long illness. She was born Amanda Jane Ford, the daughter of R. J. and Elizabeth Ford in Tennessee, February 6, 1881. She came to Texas with her parents at the age of two and had resided here most of her life. She married A. J. Johnson in 1904. Surviving her are her husband, Jack Johnson of Cameron, two sons: Roy Johnson of Temple and Arthur Johnson of Cameron, three daughters: Mrs. Jewell Raney, Mrs. Mable Fuller and Mrs. Inita Gandy all of Cameron. - Obituary: JESSIE LEE JOHNSON Jessie Lee Johnson, 72, died Thursday night in a Cameron hospital following a long illness. Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 19 in the chapel of Green Funeral Home in Cameron with Rev. Ike Hargrove officiating. Burial was in the North Elm Cemetery. Mrs. Johnson was a lifelong resident of Milam County. She was a member and Sunday School teacher of the South Elm Baptist Church for 20 years. She had served as secretary-treasurer of the North Elm Cemetery Association since 1958. - Obituary: ROY FLOYD JOHNSON Roy Floyd Johnson, 77, of Cleburne, died Tuesday in a Cleburne hospital. Graveside services were held at 5 p. m. Thursday at North Elm Cemetery near Yarrellton. Mr. Johnson was a retired machinist for the Santa Fe Railroad. He was born in 1906 in Palo Pinto County, the son of Jack and Amanda Ford Johnson. He was married to Daisy Lock in 1923 in Cameron. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Daisy B. Johnson of Cleburne; three sons, Ben R. Johnson of Hico, H. Funeral services for Mrs. Elva Kelsey, 57, who died Sunday at Kings Daughters Hospital in Temple, were held Monday at 2 p. m. at the chapel of Marek-Burns funeral home. The Rev. J. A. Harvey of the Trinity Baptist Church officiated with burial in the North Elm Cemetery. Mrs. Kelsey was born in Rosebud June 22, 1906 and was presently living near Temple. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Glenn Kelsey of Rosebud, four brothers, Arvel Oliphant [Oliphint] and Dave Oliphant both of Lubbock, Preston Oliphant and Fred Oliphant both of Fort Worth, four sisters, Miss Margie Oliphant of Rusk, Mrs. Edna Segrest of Fort Worth, Mrs. Margie McDavid of Ingram and Mrs. Myrtle Stevens of Temple.
