- Obituary: MRS. LILLIE RUSSELL Mrs. Lillie Russell, 80, of 816 S. 2 St., Temple, died at her home Wednesday night. Justice of the Peace Joe Harrison ruled death due to natural causes. She had moved from Cameron seven years ago. Funeral service was held Friday at 2 p. m. in the chapel of Green Funeral Home in Cameron with the Rev. Darry Proffit and the Rev. L. E. Snow officiating. Burial was in the North Elm Cemetery. Surviving are one son, Robert Elton Russell of Temple; one daughter, Mrs. Lorraine Drake of Temple; three sisters, Mrs. A. J. Armstrong and Mrs. Mattie Baggerly, both of Cameron and Mrs. R. L. Lock of Buckholts; two brothers, J. D. McGoldrick both of Cameron; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. - Obituary: MARTIN C. RUSSELL DIES AT NORTH ELM HOME Martin C. Russell, 71, died suddenly at his home near North Elm school Monday morning, September 28, 1942. Mr. Russell suffered a heart stroke shortly after he had arisen for the day around 5 a.m. He died at 6:30 a.m. He was a native of Milam county, having been born at Yarrellton on August 16, 1871, and had made his home in that community all his life. Surviving are his widow and two children, Ewell Russell and Myrtle Russell both of the North Elm Community. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. at the North Elm Baptist Church with Rev. John Cole and Rev. P. L. Caperton, officiating. Causey officiating. Burial was in North Elm Cemetery. Mrs. Russell was born August 13, 1886, the daughter of John Young Houston and Roxie Lindsey Houston in Milam County. She had lived in the Yarrellton community prior to moving to Temple 16 years age. Survivors include one son, Ewell Russell of Rt. 2, Buckholts; one daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Segler of Temple.
