- Obituary: D. C. Campbell D. C. Campbell, 78, died at his home at Yarrellton Tuesday afternoon, March 29, 1927 at 1 oclock. Funeral services were held at the North Elm Baptist church at 4 oclock Wednesday, March 30 with Rev. L. J. Power, pastor of the First Methodist church, Cameron, officiating. Funeral arrangements were directed by C. N. Green, undertakers, with interment in North Elm Cemetery. Mr. Campbell was born August 2, 1848, and was married to Miss Mary E. Jackson, December 21, 1871. To them were born six children, five of whom were present at the time of his death. Mr. Campbell united with the Methodist church when a young man and had lived a consistent Christian life. He moved to this county in 1882 and lived one year at Ad Hall and then moved to Yarrellton where he lived until his death. His surviving children are: Hugh Campbell, Mrs. Helen Tubbs of Ballinger; Raymond Campbell, Dallas; Seth Campbell of Kermit; Mrs. N. E. Colburn, Yarrellton and Mrs. Eugenia Claxton of Rotan. The active pall-bearers were: Geo. Fikes, C. P. Gandy, George McDonald, J. M. Fuller, John Jinks and Vince Lesikar. The Cameron Herald 31 Mar 1927

- Obituary: MRS. MARY CAMPBELL BURIED AT NORTH ELM Mrs. Mary E. Campbell, 85 years, six months and eight days, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. N. E. Colbourn at Yarrellton, near Cameron, Tuesday morning, March 28, 1933, at 4:15. The funeral was held at the home of her daughter, where she had made her home for years, Wednesday afternoon at three o'clock by Rev. M. M. Barnett. Interment was made in North Elm cemetery. Mrs. Campbell was born September 21, 1847 at Florence, Ala. and came to Texas with her parents when quite young. She was left a widow many years ago. She had been a loyal member of the Methodist church for a number of years, and had gathered around her a large circle of friends. She is survived by six children: Mrs. Colbourn, Mrs. Virginia Tubbs and Mrs. Genis Claxton of Yarrellton; Raymond Campbell of Dallas, Seth Campbell of west Texas and Hugh Campbell of Ballinger.
