JESSE ARMSTRONG
Jesse [Jesse] Armstrong, 68, of Texas City died Monday in a Galveston hospital. He was born Sept. 15, 1907 in Franklin and was a retired captain in the U. S. Army.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday in the chapel of Green Funeral Home in Cameron with burial in the North Elm Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Millie Armstrong of Texas City; his mother, Mrs. Audie Winston of Texas City; one daughter, Mrs. Wynell Young of Texas City; two brothers, Sam Armstrong of Bay City and W. W. Armstrong of Clute; and one granddaughter.

LONNIE ARMSTRONG DIES; FORMER CITY CAB OWNER-OPERATOR
Lonnie Armstrong, 53, died about 10:30 a. m. Tuesday at his home. He was owner of Lonnies Taxi in Cameron for many years, a native of Milam County and veterans of World War II.
Funeral services will be at 4 p. m. Thursday (today) at Marek Burns Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Chapman officiating. Burial will be in North Elm Cemetery.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. P. O. Armstrong of Cameron and one daughter, Miss Vanessa Armstrong of Houston.
