LAST RITES HELD FOR MRS. BARRETT Funeral services were held 3 p. m. Monday, April 1st at Marek-Burns Funeral Home for Mrs. Bertha Jessie Barrett, 57, a life-long resident of Milam County, who died Sunday at Abilene. The Rev. Jim Barnett, Caldwell, officiated at services. Interment followed at North Elm Cemetery. Mrs. Barrett lived the past two and one-half years at Abilene. Survivors include her husband, Jime, Abilene; four sons, James, Wichita Falls; Chesley, Abilene; Johnnie, Cameron; and Billy Ray, Abilene; her mother, Mrs. Ida Houston, Cameron; a sister, Mrs. May Bridgewater, Sinton; and 14 grandchildren. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Pallbearers were Alvin Baggerly, Alfred Price, Lester McCollough, Grady Gill, Vaughn Jenness, Bert Nicholson and Ray Westbrook. The Cameron Herald, 11 Apr 1957
