FINAL RITES FOR MRS. MARY CHAPMAN Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ellen Chapman, 78, were held at the First Baptist Church, Monday, February 12, at 2 p. m. with Rev. P. A. Corkern, officiating. Interment was in North Elm Cemetery with Green Funeral Home directing the arrangements. Mrs. Chapman died at the St. Edward Hospital Saturday afternoon February 10 and had been seriously ill for several days. She had been in declining health for the past fourteen months. Mrs. Chapman was a native of Limestone County but had lived in Milam County most of her life as her parents came to Texas when she was a small child. For a number of years she had lived with her daughter, Mrs. Pearlie Whittington in Houston but has moved back to Cameron about three months ago. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. J. W. Foster of Cameron and Mrs. Pearlie Whittington of Houston; two sons, Arthur Chapman of Cameron and Luther Chapman of Houston. Thirteen grandchildren also survive.
