YARRELLTON RESIDENT WAS BURIED THURSDAY Sam H. Dobbs, 73, of Yarrellton died at 3 p. m. May 31, 1950, at Newton Memorial Hospital. He had been ill for eleven days after suffering a heart attack. Mr. Dobbs was born October 28, 1876 in Alabama. He was owner and operator of the telephone exchange and general store at Yarrellton. Among his survivors are his widow, Mrs. Sam H. Dobbs of Yarrellton, one son, Hubert L. Dobbs of Louisville, Kentucky, one daughter, Mrs. Cleo Wilkerson of Bishop, Texas, one brother and one sister; John Dobbs of Normangee, Texas and Mrs. Annie Richards of Cameron. He is also survived by four grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. R. L. South, Pastor, at the Yarrellton Baptist Church, at 2:00 p. m. June 1, 1950. Burial was made in North Elm cemetery with Marek-Burns Funeral Home making the arrangements. Pallbearers were Jim Mann, Joe Ford, Alton Bryant, Rodney Barker, Warren Hastings and Clarence Colburn.
