  • Obituary: WILLIAM C. GIBBS Funeral for William C. Gibbs, 66, of Cameron was at 10 a. m. Thursday in the Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with the Rev. Darrell Proffit officiating. Burial was in the North Elm Cemetery. Mr. Gibbs died Tuesday in a Temple hospital. He was born in Milam County and was a retired mechanic and bus driver for Cameron schools. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Elsie Gibbs of Cameron; one daughter, Mrs. Bettye Ermis of Cameron; his mother, Mrs. C. T. Gibbs of Bay City; four brothers, Coleman Gibbs of Leesville, La., Elmer Gibbs of Marble Falls, Kenneth Gibbs of Houston and Harrell Gibbs of Bay City; four sisters, Mrs. Grace Glauser, Mrs. Irene Hale, both of San Antonio, Mrs. Lucille Richardson of Bay City and Mrs. Doris Cockburn of Amarillo, and four grandchildren.
