Oran Aubrey Irby

AUBREY IRBY Aubrey Irby, 62, of Cameron and formerly of Rockdale, died Sunday morning in a Houston hospital. He had been in failing health for some time. Mr. Irby was a clerk in the Alcoa plant at Rockdale and was employed by Hughes Tool Co until 18 years ago. He was a member of Rockdale Lodge 414, AF & AM, the Ben Hur Shrine Temple of Austin and the First Baptist Church of Cameron. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. Funeral was at 2 p. m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, the Rev. J. E. Lafferty officiating. Burial was in North Elm Cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bobbie Jean Irby; a son, Douglas Irby of Houston; two stepsons, Dennis Jones of Waco and Allen Jones of Cameron; a step-daughter, Mrs. Marianne Swann of Arlington; a brother, Elmer Irby of Buna; a half brother, Perry H.
