• Obituary: Funeral of John Phillips. A fatal stroke of paralysis was the cause of the death of our brother, the funeral was conducted by Rev. A. J. Collins of Burlington. Mr. John Phillips was born November 25, 1836. Departed this life September 30, 1906, being nearly 70 years of age. Mr. Phillips was a member of the Baptist church at Yarrellton, Texas. His remains were laid to rest in the North Elm grave yard followed by a large following of relative and friends. Brother Phillips was a good man, a good neighbor and a hard working man.
