Lightning Kills Man on Farm at Yarrellton Fayette Richards Struck Down Near Bride in Cotton Field Fayette Richards, 27 years old, farmer living near Yarrellton was instantly killed Monday afternoon during a storm eight miles west of Cameron. He was married on Saturday and with him at the time of his death was his bride of three days. It is said that both were standing holding a cotton sack into which cotton was being placed when the bolt struck him killing him instantly. The funeral was held there Tuesday. Mr. Richards was well known here, having been star state witness in a case in criminal district court in the case of Lazrus Carey negro rooming house proprietor, charged by indictment with selling liquor, and having testified at the trial here assisting the officers in breaking up illicit traffic in liquor.
