  • Obituary: MRS. WILLIE DAVIS Mrs. Willie Davis, 73, of Buckholts died in a Rosebud hospital Tuesday, Feb. 19 after a long illness. She was born in Star City, Ark. November 22, 1900. She came to Texas in 1913. Funeral service was held Thursday at 3 p. m. in the chapel of Green Funeral Home, the Rev. Ike Hargrove officiating, assisted by Rev. U. S. Lucky. Burial was in the North Elm Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Willie Davis, of Buckholts; two daughters Regena Davis and Cherri Davis of Buckholts; four sons, Don Davis of Boston, Mass., Jimmie Davis of Andrews, Robert Davis of Lubbock, and Larry Davis of Buckholts; two brothers, Bob Matthews of Cameron and Lee Matthews of Buckholts; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Martin of Temple.
