FUNERAL SERVICES FOR OSCAR L. SMITH WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY Oscar L. Smith, 61, a Milam County resident for many years, died at 3:00 a. m. Thursday morning. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p. m. Friday at the South Elm Baptist Church with Rev. U. S. Luckey of Zavalla, Texas, officiating. Burial will be in North Elm Cemetery, with graveside services conducted by the Yarrellton Masonic Lodge. Greens Funeral Directors are making the arrangements. The body will remain at the family residence at South Elm until the funeral hour. Mr. Smith was born July 16, 1892, was a farmer and had lived at South Elm for 35 years. He was a member of the South Elm Baptist Church, the Yarrellton Masonic Lodge and the Woodmen of the World. He was a veteran of World War I. Survivors are his widow; a half-brother, Edward Hess of Waco; an aunt, Mrs. Katie Byrd of Memphis, Tenn., and an uncle, Albert Smith of Springfield, Mo.
