SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. WALLACE, 88 Funeral services for Mrs. J. R. Wallace, age 88, who died Jan. 27 at the Cameron Nursing Home, were held Jan. 28 at 3:00 p. m. at the Yarrellton Baptist Church. Rev. James Lafferty officiated, assisted by Rev. Eugene Strickland. Burial was in North Elm Cemetery. Born October 6, 1875 in Heidenheimer, Mrs. Wallace was the daughter of Martin Fikes and Frances Sprayberry Fikes. She was married to J. R. Wallace on August 8, 1894, and lived in the Yarrellton Community until she moved to Cameron about 20 years ago. She was the last of the charter members of the Yarrellton Baptist Church, which was organized in 1892. Surviving are 2 daughters, Mrs. August Knipp of Cameron and Mrs. Clarence Colburn of Yarrellton. Mrs. Smith Barrett of Cameron, a grandchild, was raised by Mrs. Wallace. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; and one brother Onnie Fikes of Rosebud; also a number of half brothers and half sisters.
