Mrs. S. H. Edwards [Wilkerson] Dead At 79 Years Pioneer Woman Dies in Yarrellton Home Tuesday After Short Illness Mrs. H. Edwards aged 79 years, pioneer resident of Milam County, died at her home in Yarrellton Tuesday morning at 9:45 oclock after a short illness. Mrs. Edwards was born in Kentucky, November 26, 1842. She was married to William H. Wilkerson in 1860. They were among the pioneers settlers in this county. She had resided for 49 years in Yarrellton. Funeral was held from the residence Wednesday with C. N. Green and Brothers directors. Rev. S. B. Culpepper conducted the services. Deceased was a member of the Baptist church. She is survived by eight children as follows: Jim Wilkerson, Temple; Ance Wilkerson, Cameron; Dave and Isaac Wilkerson of Yarrellton; Mrs. Maude Davis of Plainview; Darcus Wilkerson, Yarrellton; Mrs. Geneva Lankford, Mrs. Massey Harris, Ballinger.
