  • Obituary: ROBERT BLACK Robert Black, 70, of Cameron died Feb. 19 in a Temple hospital. Graveside funeral services were held Feb. 22 at North Elm Cemetery near Cameron. Black, a retired boilermaker in the construction industry, was born July 16, 1934 in Jasper County to Louis Wilson and Mae (Lamb) Black. He was a Navy Veteran. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Moore, and a brother, Jack Black. Survivors include his wife, Joy Black of Cameron; stepchildren, Steve Kirk and wife, Kathy; Vicki Henson; Mike Kirk and wife, Judy; all of Cameron, and Karen McCoy and husband, Kevin, of Thorndale; brother, Wilson Black and wife, Elaine, of Baytown; and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
