- Obituary: MRS. A. D. LUCAS IS BURIED THURSDAY Funeral services for Mrs. A. D. Lucas, 87, of this city were conducted Thursday afternoon from the North Elm Baptist Church. Rev. P. L. Caperton of Cameron, pastor of the North Elm church officiated. Interment was made in the North Elm cemetery. Mrs. Lucas has made her home here with her son, W. M. Lucas for the past thirteen years. She died on Wednesday. Mrs. Lucas was born in South Carolina and married in McNary county, Tennessee, August 22, 1866 to A. D. Lucas. They moved to Texas in 1879 and first settled in Parker county. He preceeded her in death in 1927. To this union was born twelve children, six of whom survive as follows: W. M. Lucas, Cameron; J. R. Lucas, Fort Cobb, Oklahoma; T. F. Lucas, Carnegay, Oklahoma; J. M. Lucas, San Francisco, California; R. F. Lucas, Detroit, Mrs. L. F. Simpson, Phoenix, Arizona. Thirty-three grand children, 36 great grand children and three great great grand children also survive. Mrs. Lucas was a member of the Baptist church. - Obituary: W. M. LUCAS BURIED AT NORTH ELM TUESDAY Funeral services for W. M. Lucas, 71, of Cameron were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 3 oclock from North Elm Baptist Church with Rev. V. M. Cloyd, pastor First Baptist Church of Cameron delivering the sermon. Mr. Lucas died at his home here at 4:30 Monday afternoon. Survivors include a son, Walter Lucas with the McLane Wholesale company here. Mr. Lucas is survived by his widow; one son, W. H. Lucas of Cameron; one daughter, Mrs. J. F. Reinhart of Denton county; nine grand children; four brothers, T. F. and J. R. Lucas of Oklahoma; R. F. Lucas of Detroit, Texas; J. M. Lucas of California; and one sister, Mrs. L. L. - Obituary: LUCKY INFANT Anthony Lucky, age 7 weeks, died in a Temple hospital Saturday morning. Graveside service was held at 10 a. m. Sunday at the North Elm Cemetery, the Rev. Darryl Proffit officiating. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Susan Lucky of Cameron; a twin brother, Timothy Lucky and a sister, April Lynn Lucky, both of Cameron; his grandmother, Mrs. Edith Hadley of Cameron; his grandfather, Frank J. - Obituary: JIM MANN Funeral services for Jim Mann, age 96, of the Yarrellton community were Friday in the Chapel of Green Funeral Home in Cameron with Rev. Ike Hargrove officiating. Burial was in North Elm Cemetery. A retired farmer, Mr. Mann had lived in Milam County all of his life. He was a member of the Yarrellton Baptist Church.
