- Obituary: ROBERT FRANKLIN RICHARDS Robert Franklin Richards, 80, died in Bryan. He had lived in Bryan for 15 years, retired from Dow Chemical Co. at Freeport. He was a farmer, and owned the Walkie T. [Wokaty?] Grocery store in the North Elm community in the 1920s and 1930s. He was married to Miss Susie Howard in Yarrellton on November 22, 1914. Funeral service was held March 22 at the Callaway-Jones Funeral Home, the Rev. W. A. McDonald officiating. Burial was in the North Elm Cemetery near Cameron. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Dick Hughes of Bryan; two sons, A. J. Richards of Bryan and Elmer Ray Richards also of Bryan; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Thurman Donaldson of Bryan and Mrs. Grady Allen of Cameron; an aunt, Mrs. George Richards of Cameron. - Obituary: MRS. TESSIE RICHARDS Mrs. Tessie Richards, 76, of Rockdale died early Sunday in an Austin hospital after a short illness. The funeral was at 2 p. m. at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. The Rev. Dean Evens officiated. Burial was in the North Elm Cemetery near Cameron. Surviving are her husband, Roy V.
