- Obituary: AFTON W. DYCUS Afton Wilbur (Buster) Dycus, 54, died Sunday night in a Temple hospital. Mr. Dycus lived in Milam County most of his life and at the time of his death made his home in Cameron. He was a veteran of World War II. Funeral services were at 2:30 p. m. Tuesday at Greens Funeral Home chapel in Cameron, the Rev. James Lafferty officiating. Burial was in North Elm Cemetery. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. R. L. Dycus of Cameron, two brothers, Burt Dycus of El Paso and James Dycus of Corpus Christi; five sisters, Mrs. Gladys Bailey of Cameron, Mrs. Mary Swanzy of Port Arthur, Mrs. Johnnie Brown of El Paso, Mrs. Elsie Buffington of Corpus Christi and Mrs. Anita Burton of Mobile, Ala. - Obituary: R. L. DYCUS Funeral services of R. L. Dycus, 56 years, who fell dead in his field near Yarrelton, August 31, at 11:30 a. m., were held Friday afternoon, September 2, at 3:30 oclock at North Elm church, Rev. P. L. Caperton, officiating. Interment was made in North Elm cemetery. Deceased seemed to be in good health and his death came as a shock to his many friends. Inquest was held by Judge O. C. Nolte of Ben Arnold who pronounced death from natural causes. He is survived by his wife and ten children, five boys and five girls to mourn his departure. Pall bearers were M. C. Russell, Roy Hensley, Q. Whittington, Sam B. Houston, Wesley Scarbrough and T. R. Wheeler. The Cameron Herald, 8 Sep 1932
