- Obituary: MURRELL CHARLES TUCKER Funeral Services will be held today for Murrell Tucker, 77, of Cameron, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with Rev. James E. Lafferty officiating. Burial will follow in the North Elm Cemetery near Yarrellton. He died Jan. 10, in a Temple hospital. Mr. Tucker was born May 17, 1922 in Thorndale to Walter H. and Maggie Caffey Tucker. He retired from the Texas Department of Transportation where he worked in the highway maintenance department. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Tucker in 1992 and by three brothers, Teenie Tucker, Doolie Tucker and Bowie Tucker. Survivors include two sons, David Tucker of Garfield and Jeff Tucker of Cameron; one daughter, Susan Upchurch of Belton; four brothers, Howard Tucker, James "Red" Tucker and Ray Tucker, all of Cameron, and Johnnie Tucker of Enid, Ok.; three sisters, Sudie Cass of Cameron and Verlie Ashley, both of Cameron, and Mary Ruth Vybiral of Caldwell. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the charity of donor's choice. Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements. Vernon Dietrich officiated and burial was in the North Elm Cemetery. Surviving are sons, B. W. Wallace of Waco, G. R. Wallace of New Albany, Ind., and John R. - Obituary: J. R. WALLACE, PIONEER BURIED AT YARRELTON J. E. Wallace, aged 56, a native of Milam County, died suddenly at the family residence Friday afternoon at [4:50]. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church at Yarrellton, Saturday afternoon, E. S. Hutcherson of the Baptist church here conducting the services. Interment was made at North Elm Cemetery. Surviving the deceased are: his wife, Mrs. Nannie Wallace; two daughters, Miss Verna Wallace and Mrs. [Otis] Knipp and one son, Leslie Wallace. Wallace was a resident of Cameron until 1957 when he moved to Irving. He was employed by the Irving School system.
