- Obituary: SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. WALLACE, 88 Funeral services for Mrs. J. R. Wallace, age 88, who died Jan. 27 at the Cameron Nursing Home, were held Jan. 28 at 3:00 p. m. at the Yarrellton Baptist Church. Rev. James Lafferty officiated, assisted by Rev. Eugene Strickland. Burial was in North Elm Cemetery. Born October 6, 1875 in Heidenheimer, Mrs. Wallace was the daughter of Martin Fikes and Frances Sprayberry Fikes. She was married to J. R. Wallace on August 8, 1894, and lived in the Yarrellton Community until she moved to Cameron about 20 years ago. She was the last of the charter members of the Yarrellton Baptist Church, which was organized in 1892. Surviving are 2 daughters, Mrs. August Knipp of Cameron and Mrs. Clarence Colburn of Yarrellton. Mrs. Smith Barrett of Cameron, a grandchild, was raised by Mrs. Wallace. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; and one brother Onnie Fikes of Rosebud; also a number of half brothers and half sisters. - Obituary: SERVICES HELD HERE FOR FORMER COUNTIAN Funeral services were held on Wednesday morning at Greens Funeral Chapel for Charley Weber, 89, former Buckholts resident. Burial was in North Elm Cemetery. Weber, a retired farmer, died Monday afternoon in Orange, Texas. He had lived most of his life in Buckholts, moving from there in 1949. Survivors include seven sons, George and Clarence Weber of Texas City; Jesse, Buckholts; Maxie of Chicago; Charley of Houston and Jack and Billy of Lake Charles, La.; two daughters, Mrs. Claude Stubbs and Mrs. F. Clarence W. Weber, who had lived in Cameron for the past five years, was found dead in his trailer home which is parked at the Cameron Mobile Home Park on Second St. The Cameron Herald, 4 Mar 1976 CLARENCE W. WEBER Clarence W. Weber, 53, of East 3 St. Cameron, was found dead at his home Tuesday morning. Justice of the Peace Jess Brock listed his death due to natural causes from heart attack at 12:20 a. m. Tuesday. Mr. Weber was born January 10, 1923 in Thorndale. He was a World War II veteran and an independent welder by trade. He had been a resident of Cameron for the past 5 years. Funeral service was at 11 a. m. Thursday in the chapel of Green Funeral Home in Cameron, with the Rev. Thomas Dusek officiating. Burial was in the North Elm Cemetery.
