- Obituary: HELEN MCFARLAND Helen McFarland, 86, of Temple died Saturday, April 28, in a Temple hospital. Graveside funeral services were held May 1 at the North Elm Cemetery near Cameron with Rev. Jim Lafferty officiating. Visitation was held Monday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron. Mrs. McFarland, a homemaker, was born Feb. 16, 1926 in Lubbock to Thomas and Annie (Dobbs) Richards. She married Earl McFarland and he preceded her in death in 1990. Her daughter, Charlotte Ann Wade also preceded her in death in 2011. She was also preceded in death by two sisters. - Obituary: BILLY SCARBOROUGH CAMERONâ€â€Funeral services for Billy Scarborough, 72, of Cameron were held Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, in the Kathryn W. Green Chapel of Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron with Rev. William Angell officiating. Burial followed in North Elm Cemetery. Mr. Scarborough died Saturday, Oct. 2, at his residence following an extended illness. He was born July 13, 1938, in Cameron to Wesley and Julia Brod Scarborough. Mr. Scarborough was retired from the Texas Department of Transportation where he worked for 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Shirley Hollas; and a son, Jimmy Horton. Mr. Scarborough was a member of Open Door Christian Church. Survivors are his wife, Berniece Scarborough of Cameron; two sons, Clint Scarborough of Garland, Gary Scarborough of Cameron; and a daughter, Tammy Moehlman of Midlothian; also, six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
