- Obituary: J. R. WALLACE, PIONEER BURIED AT YARRELTON J. E. Wallace, aged 56, a native of Milam County, died suddenly at the family residence Friday afternoon at [4:50]. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church at Yarrellton, Saturday afternoon, E. S. Hutcherson of the Baptist church here conducting the services. Interment was made at North Elm Cemetery. Surviving the deceased are: his wife, Mrs. Nannie Wallace; two daughters, Miss Verna Wallace and Mrs. [Otis] Knipp and one son, Leslie Wallace. He also leaves a brother and sister, ____ Wallace, Austin; and Mrs. Mary Smith, Lampassas and a granddaughter, Thelma Mae Griffin who made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Wallace. Mr. Wallace was born at Port Sullivan but had lived at Yarrelton for more than fifty years. - Obituary: FORMER RESIDENT L. R. WALLACE BURIED TUESDAY L. R. Wallace, 66, died at his home in Irving at 11:30 a. m. Sunday. Funeral services were held Tuesday, 2 p. m. at the First Baptist Church of Cameron with Masonic graveside services at North Elm Cemetery. Wallace was a resident of Cameron until 1957 when he moved to Irving. He was employed by the Irving School system. Born in Milam County, in the Yarrellton Community, he was a member of the Baptist Church and St. Andrews [San Andreas] Masonic Lodge. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. L. R. Wallace of Irving; two daughters, Mrs. Werdna Miller of Louisville, Kentucky and Mrs. Nadine Brooks of Ft. Worth; 3 sons, Brozi Wallace of Waco, Royce Wallace of New Albany, Indiana and John Ray Wallace of Dallas; his mother, Mrs. J. R. - Obituary: SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. WALLACE, 88 Funeral services for Mrs. J. R. Wallace, age 88, who died Jan. 27 at the Cameron Nursing Home, were held Jan. 28 at 3:00 p. m. at the Yarrellton Baptist Church. Rev. James Lafferty officiated, assisted by Rev. Eugene Strickland. Burial was in North Elm Cemetery. Born October 6, 1875 in Heidenheimer, Mrs. Wallace was the daughter of Martin Fikes and Frances Sprayberry Fikes. She was married to J. R. Wallace on August 8, 1894, and lived in the Yarrellton Community until she moved to Cameron about 20 years ago. She was the last of the charter members of the Yarrellton Baptist Church, which was organized in 1892. Surviving are 2 daughters, Mrs. August Knipp of Cameron and Mrs. Clarence Colburn of Yarrellton. Mrs. Smith Barrett of Cameron, a grandchild, was raised by Mrs. Wallace. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; and one brother Onnie Fikes of Rosebud; also a number of half brothers and half sisters. - Obituary: SERVICES HELD HERE FOR FORMER COUNTIAN Funeral services were held on Wednesday morning at Greens Funeral Chapel for Charley Weber, 89, former Buckholts resident. Burial was in North Elm Cemetery. Weber, a retired farmer, died Monday afternoon in Orange, Texas. He had lived most of his life in Buckholts, moving from there in 1949. Survivors include seven sons, George and Clarence Weber of Texas City; Jesse, Buckholts; Maxie of Chicago; Charley of Houston and Jack and Billy of Lake Charles, La.; two daughters, Mrs. Claude Stubbs and Mrs. F.
