Obituary: HELEN RUTH SAWYER Helen Ruth Sawyer, 69, of Cameron died Jan. 2 in a Cameron hospital. Graveside memorial services will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. at the North Elm Cemetery near Cameron with the Rev. Tim Cheatham officiating. The body will be cremated. Sawyer was born June 20, 1936 in Maysfield to Henry Madison and Allie (Harbor) Holloway. She worked as a healthcare giver with Girlings. One sister and four brothers preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Wesley Sawyer of Cameron; children, Allen Sikes of Mountain Home, Ark.; Tina Sikes of Hot Springs, Ark., and Kenneth Peterson of San Antonio; brothers, Billy Ray Holloway of Burleson and John Denson Holloway of Pasadena; sisters, Hazel Steel of Tomball; Fay Janes of Dallas; Ann Webb of Rosenberg and Nylan Lynn Holloway of Fredricksburg and four grandchildren. Obituary: MARGARET Ã¢â‚¬Å“MAGGIEÃ¢â‚¬ï† ELVA RICHARDS Margaret "Maggie" Elva Richards, 87, of Montgomery and formerly of Milam County died May 25 at a hospital in The Woodlands. Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Cheatham officiating. Burial will follow in the North Elm Cemetery. Family visitation will be Thursday at 8 a.m. until the service time. Richards, a retired nursing home administrator, was born July 26, 1915 in Milam County to Mr. and Mrs. Jim Dodson. Her mother died when Richards was very young. Her husband Johnnie Richards preceded her in death in 1981. She is survived by her daughter Darlene Walls of Montgomery; sister Lou McCrummin of Wyoming; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Obituary: MYRTLE JEWEL GANDY HILL Myrtle Jewel Gandy Hill, 92, of Temple died Oct. 27 at a Temple nursing facility. Graveside services were held Oct. 29 at the North Elm Cemetery with Rev. Billy Crow officiating. Hill was born Jan. 15, 1915 in Milam County to Nicholas and Ida Mae Russell Gandy. She was a retired seamstress. Survivors include son, Bert Hill of Brownwood; daughters, Frankie Cloud of Temple, Laverne Brewer and Mozelle Shumate, both of Brownwood; brothers, Edwin "Mann" Gandy of Buckholts, N. W.
